FAQ

Questions about our Google & Facebook Ads agency

How much does a Google/Facebook Ads agency cost in Malaysia?

Usually 15-20% of ad spend, or a flat monthly fee of RM1,000-RM3,500 for SMEs depending on scope.

Can I run Google Ads only, without bundling Facebook?

Yes – we scope each platform separately based on where your customers actually are.

How is this different from a cheap freelancer?

You get a full process: strategy, creative, tracking and weekly optimisation, reported monthly in numbers you can act on, not just campaign screenshots.

Cost

What does a Google Ads agency cost in Malaysia?

Two models are common here. A percentage of ad spend, usually 15 to 20 percent. Or a flat monthly management fee. Our paid ads work starts at RM3,000 a month as a single channel, and the tiers are published on the pricing page.

Your ad budget is separate and billed as pass-through. We do not mark it up. You pay Google and Meta directly, from your own account, and you can see every ringgit that leaves it.

The percentage model has a problem worth naming: it pays the agency more when you spend more, whether or not spending more was the right call. A flat fee removes that incentive. We are happy to work either way, but we will tell you which one we think fits your situation.

Budget

What your ad budget actually buys

We work with Malaysian SMEs running RM1,500 to RM10,000 a month in media spend. Below about RM1,500 there is usually not enough data in a month to optimise anything, and you are better off putting that money into fixing the offer or the landing page first.

Cost per lead varies more by industry than by how clever the campaign is. A RM50 lead in one category is cheap and in another it is three times the market. The first month is partly spent finding out which one you are in, and we say so before you start rather than pretending we already know.

What we optimise for is cost per qualified lead, not clicks and not reach. Reach is easy to buy and tells you nothing.

Channel choice

Google Ads or Facebook Ads first?

Google Ads catches demand that already exists. Someone types what they want. You appear. Intent is high, competition is priced in, and it works best when people actively search for your category: repairs, legal, medical, B2B services, anything urgent.

Meta Ads create demand that did not exist yet. Nobody was searching. You interrupt with something worth stopping for. It works for products people buy on impulse or discovery, and for categories where nobody knows to search.

If nobody searches for what you sell, Google Ads will not save you. If your product needs explaining before anyone wants it, Meta is usually the cheaper classroom. Most businesses eventually run both, but not in month one.

First 30 days

What happens when you start

Week one is tracking. Conversion tracking, lead capture, and making sure a form fill actually registers as a conversion. A surprising number of accounts we audit have been spending for months while reporting numbers that were never wired up correctly.

Week two is structure and creative. Campaigns built around how you actually sell, not around every keyword we can think of. Copy and creative written for the offer, not for the algorithm.

Weeks three and four are cutting. Most of the early work is switching off what does not convert. That is the boring half, and it is where the cost per lead actually moves.

Honest limits

When paid ads are the wrong answer

If your landing page does not convert the traffic you already have, ads will only buy you more people who do not convert, faster and at a price. Fix the page first.

If nobody follows up on leads within a day, ads are not your problem. We have audited accounts where the ads were working fine and the leads sat unread in an inbox for a week.

You own the ad account. Always. It stays in your name, and if we part ways you keep the account, the history and the audiences. Agencies that run your ads inside their own account are holding your data hostage, and it is worth asking any agency this before you sign.
